On Stage during Presidential Debates +

What part of this makes sense ?
The candidates aspire to the highest elected Office in our Nation and they resort to dumb and silly sh..  antics and verbal darts !  And the other repetitions  that we cover below.

We the People want to hear how they will lead our Nation out of this Big Mess and we do not want to hear this silly nonsense that we currently hear.

Start with brevity and a Plan Outline and then lead into an appropriate level of intermediate details.  That's it - can you do it Mr or Ms Candidate ?  If you cannot converse and speak your way thru this then please pack up your Tap Dance Act and go back to where you came from.

How many times do we need to hear that "I am the birth Mother of 5 children and Foster Mother of 23 children ?  Or how many times do we have to hear that "my Grandfather came from Italy and worked in a factory."  Most if not all viewers catch on and have caught on to this.  So is this repetitive "staying on Point" or staying on Message of value in convincing the viewers that you have what it takes to be President and work our Nation thru this Great Big Mess we are in ?

Those lines would not work in a run during a Local Election for Dog Catcher so how does it make sense at the National level ?  Wonder how they would work during a real job interview in the Civilian World ?

Wonder how many of these Candidates actually view after the Debate the Debate & go thru a self critique of their performance ?

Clearly Rick Perry did after his memory / recall lapse recently.  The next debate he was a new person.  Bravo, but the damage was done one could observe.  Yes it appears he did step in it and big time.

Newt Gingrich has really been the only candidate with Ron Paul a close second to stand their ground and talk about the issues vice throwing darts, dirt or mud slinging another candidate or talking in riddles.

Rick Santorum comes off as vindictive to those who do not listen to his rather shallow words.  The Office and responsibilities of the Office he is seeking is a bit more than the Family and the Church one could readily conclude.  The Family and the Church need funds and support and in this country that means money.  He clearly has no clue about the reality of the Free Enterprise system and the American version of capitalism.  Need we be reminded that he was a Senator so many times ?  Perhaps he should be reminded that he is now an ex Senator that was chased out of Office by the voters in Pennsylvania.  By the way what is his source of income as an ex Senator to support a wife and 7 children ?  Anyone know ?

The other thing is all who do listen, read, see and watch the news and keep up with things also know as the Voters realize Obama has his problems.  So Mr or Ms Candidate quit throwing the barbs and cheap shots and tell us what you will do to resolve this Big Mess.   When you think about this Where is Ross Perot and his Charts when we need them most ?

So any way you can when all of these calls and emails come in respond with:  stop the bickering and start speaking with substance to the issues and the questions.  Gimmicks will not serve to solve the issues and doubtful will serve to get those uttering the gimmicks elected to the position they seek.

Question = Answer please

The series of Republican Debates have been interesting but in many instances disappointing.  Several Debates and each one has some different tones but what I am observing is that most of the Moderators do not exert much if any effort to get an answer from Candidates.
Each Debate has numerous questions that come from different sources.  Having live audience participation in questions is great as is the inputs from the Web and Twitter.
But most of the candidates elect to weave, bob and spin away from an answer.  This is basically being evasive.  It amazes me that the candidates so often get to escape actually answering the question. They get to spin and pivot and go off onto their sound bites that they want in the 10 seconds that they have to make a point.
Moderators need to dig more and be firm with the candidates and be blunt if necessary and come back to the candidate and say "we want an answer to the question not a canned talking point or diversion.  Or, how about: Here is the question; please answer it.
Also the time limit management varies.  The most recent debate in Las Vegas had poor time management.  What about just cutting their microphone off ?   Technology makes such things very easy to do.
So think about this:  if they are Ducking questions as a candidate what will they do if elected ?  We already have a guy in office now who has mastered that.  Don't know about the readers; but this writer prefers those who will answer the question and if they don't have an answer say so.  It is a quality of a person that means a lot when you think about it.
Fake left and run right should remain in Football as it has no place in contemporary Politics.

Next Blog posting we will expound a bit on the Bickering on stage.  What does it really achieve and why are the candidates so dumb to begin and continue such nonsense ?

A Tribute: Buddy The Dog aka Buddy Best

This posting is a Tribute to my Best Buddy & my Best Friend Buddy the Dog who I often called Buddy Best.  Buddy left us yesterday September 17th and it is a huge loss to me and the family.  I put together a few words and some photos as a tribute.  Buddy was very photogenic by nature and as such it was hard to choose which of the many great photos would be appropriate to this Tribute.

Remember what Eisenhower said in 1961

I hope everyone remembers what Dwight Eisenhower said in 1961:

"In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex.  The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.

We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes.  We should take nothing for granted.  Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together."

So now, ask yourself:  are you part of an alert and knowledgeable citizenry?

Cheeseburger in Paradise in Jeopardy ?

Are we now at the point where our Cheeseburger in Paradise lifestyle is nearing an end in America?

Sure looks that way.  The elected politicians continue the live and in living color Circus act.  Spend, spend more and more and point the finger any way but at themselves.  The Democrats blame the Republicans and the Republicans blame the Democrats.  Both are to blame it would appear.

Hard to distinguish the difference between the Democrats and the Republicans these days.

Where is a real 3rd Party movement when we need it?  We need it bad and soon.

This mess we have now is not working.

This Week's Mantra - Contribute nothing to no one

Starbucks Founder & CEO Howard Schultz has taken a very bold and practical stand regarding Political Contributions.

Money feeds most things in America and what could be more interesting than less money feeding this horrid, over lengthy and charade of a process for a field of candidates attempting to win over America.  One or more advance and one is selected at their Parties National Convention.  Prime time TV, silly speeches and oh the fashion show of who is wearing what!

So after months of Coffee in Iowa, Vermont, New Hampshire, South Carolina and more mixed in with Straw Polls, fashion shows, debates on TV and such this is what we get: a Candidate.  The Candidate promises this and promises that, looks to the left, looks to the right, smiles often and hopefully without too many umm's, ah's and you know laced in their speeches and talks they are off to the Races.  Many if not most are somewhere between bad to horrid in their actual speech delivery.  They spend millions on advisors, consultants and staff and no one tells the candidate to stop the umm's, the ah's and the you know's?  Nice impression some of them make based on their wretched speech delivery.

Travel across our great land riding in a tricked out Bus, bannered planes and occasionally a train.  More coffee, shaking hands, kissing babies and a lot of smiles.  Do we need all this crap to elect a President?  What a novel way to stimulate selective areas of our economy each 4 years.  Heaven forbid we consider and change to a system similar to England.  No nearly 2 years of the Sad Sack shows there.  It is fast, to the point and seems to work well.

So, if the money is reduced or ideally cut off what do they do?
Less of those annoying emails & phone calls?  Less of those tacky, cheap shot and insulting ads?  Less employment for the Clowns who continue to advise candidates that this is the way to campaign and win in America?

My new technique is simple:  when the phone rings, the emails come in and they want support I simply suggest they do as our Government does:  borrow money from the Chinese.  The economic wrecking of America has hurt me so  go borrow money from the Chinese.  My days of supporting any of these people at any level of election or pre election are over.  Feel real good about this new position.  Thank you Howard Schultz for enlightening and inspiring me!

Here is a link to a wonderful article.  Be sure to watch the video.  Spread the word please!

This Week's Mantra - Throw them out in 2012

This week our Mantra & Theme is THROW ALL INCUMBENTS OUT OF FEDERAL OFFICE AND SELECTIVELY AT THE STATE LEVEL in 2012.

Why:  my first response would be - you must be kidding me?

Reflect on the ineptness, the charades and Clown Shows that we have seen in Washington DC just in the past few months.  It certainly does not bode well for any part of getting America back on track.  Acknowledging that there is a problem is always Step 1.  That part is pretty clear - we have a Clown Show and not a competent Congress.  The White House needs Real Leadership, not lectures and speeches and Big Black Bus Tours.

On to Step 2 and mobilize American's to roll up their sleeves and help Chase All Incumbents out of Office during the 2012 Election in November.

No small task by any analysis.  As Americans we can rise to any occasion.  Well folks, here is a big one so please stand up, roll up your sleeves and make a commitment to participate with effectiveness and zeal.

Let our cries be heard, very loud and very clear.

Repeal Political Correctness - Is there a Difference ?

Throw them ALL out in 2012

Folks, we have been thru an epic performance by our elected Representatives, Senators and yes the White House occupants that is pretty hard to believe.  2012 needs to have record voter turnout and a record number of incumbents thrown out.  If  nothing else on Principal.  This group of Clowns as The Donald recently commented has got to go.  If Daffy Duck were to be elected it could not be worse for those who say "but we have tried this before."

Let's not try; let's DO IT and DO IT with a lot of noise and fanfare.

Throw your Political Correctness in the nearest Trash Can and start practicing up on throwing a few old shoes at a Poster as a starter !

Second Post

A picture of the Big Black Bus.  This Bus is somewhere between a Hoot and not sure what else.
Gotta love it.  When will they be seeking Contributions to Trick it out?  Meaning Racing Stripes, fancy decals and such ?  Possible Sponsorships like the Race cars ?  Perhaps the Alka Seltzer or Vaseline folks  would do well ?

The First

There is a first time for everything and we are now First Time on a Blog and we are loving it.
